Marian and Paul R. Young, Sr.

Founders

Paul Sr. (1921-2013) and his wife Marian (Mack) Young founded the Paul R. Young Funeral Home in 1947 in Mt. Healthy, Ohio. Paul Sr. and Marian both grew up in Dunlap, Ohio, and graduated from Colerain High School. Paul Sr. graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1942 and studied wax sculpture under Bernard Tussaud in London, England, after serving as a medic in WWII. He later taught Restorative Art at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Paul Sr. and Marian have two children, Paul R. Young Jr. and Beverly J. Young.

Beverly Young

Senior Administrator

Beverly grew up in Mt. Healthy, graduated from Mt. Healthy High School and attended Ozark Christian College. She is pleased to carry out the vision of her mother, Marian Young, and serve families in the greater Cincinnati area the way that her father, Paul R. Young Sr., would have wanted. Beverly has a history of volunteer work with seniors and nursing homes and has served on the Board of the Directors at Mt. Healthy Christian Village.

Harry Ogle

Managing Director, Oxford

Harry Ogle, a long-time resident of Darrtown, is originally from the town of North Manchester, Indiana. Harry was a member of the United States Air Force and he attended Wittenberg University. He worked in the Oxford banking industry for many years before becoming a funeral director and owner in 1983 at what is now Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Oxford. Harry was named the Oxford Citizen of the Year, is a member of the Darrtown United Methodist Church, and is a member of the Darrtown Stock Protection.

Juan Vasquez

Managing Director, Mt. Healthy/Hamilton

Juan has served the Greater Cincinnati area as a funeral professional for twenty years. He grew up in North College Hill and was a member of St. Margaret Mary parish, where he also attended primary school. He then transferred to and graduated from St. Xavier High School. Juan relocated to Northern Kentucky to pursue his studies at Thomas More College before completing his degree at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He and his wife currently reside in Erlanger.


Courtney Colla

Funeral Director / Embalmer

Courtney and her husband are new residents to the Queen City and come to us all the way from Youngstown. Along with their Golden Retriever, Duke, they are discovering all that Cincinnati has to offer. Courtney is a dedicated funeral director committed to providing families with a lasting memorial that honors their loved one.


Robert Burke

Funeral Director / Embalmer

Robert is originally from the east side of Cincinnati, graduating from Anderson High School in 1983. He attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating with a Bachelors in Mortuary Science in 2010. Robert relocated to Oxford in December 2017. He's quickly embraced his new community as home and has enjoyed getting to know his new neighbors. His servant's heart led him to serve in the United States Military, and now he serves families in need as a Funeral Director.


Roger Brown

Family Care Director

Roger and his family reside in West Chester and are active members of Faith Bible Church. He has been actively involved with Campus Crusade for Christ, attended International School of Theology, and graduated from Miami University. Roger's compassion and ability to counsel hurting hearts has led to over a decade of service in the funeral industry.

Terry Roberts

Office Coordinator

Terry is a native of Cincinnati and now lives in Oxford. She graduated from Seton High School and she attended Northern Kentucky University. She's been in the funeral industry for over twenty years and joined the Oxford funeral home in 2010. She enjoys managing the details of the office and working with the families.

Helen Rohrer

Bookkeeper / Funeral Director

Helen is a lifelong resident of Cincinnati. Growing up in the Bridgetwon area, she graduated from Mother of Mercy High School and attended the College of Mt. St. Joseph, where she earned an Associate’s degree in Business Management. Helen is a Licensed Ohio Funeral Director who has been in the funeral business since 1981. Being a stickler for detail, the majority of her time is spent taking care of the paperwork involved with funerals. Helen has three step-children and is the very proud grandmother of seven. She and her husband, Jerry, live in Ross Township and are active members of Venice Presbyterian Church.

Deb Myrick

Office Manager

Deb grew up outside Boston but now calls Mason her home. She graduated from MBCC with an Associate's Degree in business and Wilmington College Blue Ash with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts. She has three grown children (Shanna, and twin boys Kyle and Craig), a rescue dog named Emmie and a grandchild on the way! Deb works behind the scenes serving our families.

Jacob Young

Director of Facilities/Operations

Jacob grew up in the Ross area, graduated from Cincinnati Christian School in Fairfield, and attended Miami University. He enjoys working with and proudly promoting the Colerain Cardinals Football team, the alma mater and team of his grandfather. He is honored to serve in the business that his grandparents started seventy years ago.



Rodney Hiler

Lead Attendant / Office Assistant

Rodney grew up in the Ross area and attended Ross High School. He specializes in technology and studied at Miami University. His many skills allow him to wear many hats at the funeral home. He currently resides in Fairfield. 


Timothy Culbertson

Lead Attendant / Facilities Specialist

Timothy grew up in the Hamilton area and graduated from Cincinnati Christian Schools. He resides in Mt. Healthy with his wife, daughter, and new puppy. Tim's artistry, skills, and compassion for families allow him to serve in various capacities at the funeral home.


Steve Menke

Funeral Attendant

Steve grew up in Darrtown, graduated from Talawanda High School, and attended Miami University. Steve has been with the business for over thirty years. He loves working with his fellow employees, with families, and with the members of the community. Steve is a member of the Darrtown Stock Protection.

Dale Sunderhaus

Funeral Attendant

Dale and his wife have been long time resident of western Cincinnati. He attended the Ohio State University and played football for the Buckeyes. Dale has worked with the funeral home for several years and is currently a resident of North College Hill.


Cyrus Green

Funeral Attendant

Cyrus grew up in the Oxford area and played basketball for Talawanda. He lives in Oxford and is recently completed his Bachelor's degree at Miami University.


Bryce Bridges

Funeral Attendant

Bryce grew up in the Colerain area and played football for the Colerain High School Cardinals. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree at Ohio State University.


Garrett Henry

Funeral Attendant

Garrett grew up in the Colerain area and played football for the Colerain High School Cardinals. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree at University of Cincinnati.


Sue Slay

Caretaker / Events Specialist

Sue grew up in Mt. Healthy and is a graduate of Mt. Healthy High School. After serving in the United States Navy, she and her husband, Jim, eventually found their way to the Ross area where they raised their family. Sue worked in the Ross Local School District for many years and is a longtime member of the Ross Bible Chapel.

Ray Kubik

CFO

Ray is a resident of Cincinnati and graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance. He has worked in the financial industry for over thirty-five years and has been with the funeral home in Mt. Healthy since 2014. Ray has a long history of volunteer work and currently serves with the Executive Service Corp of Cincinnati. He loves serving Christ, serving his family, and serving his clients.


Lisa Bayer

Accountant

Lisa and her family reside in Mason and are very active in their local parish and school, St. Susanna. She attended Archbishop Alter High School in Dayton and later graduated from Miami University in accounting.


Sarah Young

Director of Communications / HR

Sarah grew up in the Greater Cincinnati area and later graduated from Taylor University. She loves to see the positive influence that a small family business can have within a community.

Alexis Young

Funeral Attendant

Alexis is currently a student at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and is studying to become a funeral director and embalmer. She is originally from Wellington, Ohio and attended Lorain Community College before transferring to CCMS. She will graduate in Spring 2020.

Chandler Northup

Funeral Attendant

Chandler is currently a student at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and is studying to become a funeral director and embalmer. He is originally from Jackson, Ohio and attended Rio Grande Community College/University of Rio Grande before transferring to CCMS. He will graduate in Spring 2020.
