Robert Caplinger

Robert (Bob) F. Caplinger, 86, of Colerain Township passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 25, 2022. Bob was born on May 21,1935 in Cincinnati, OH, to Louise and William Kolkmeyer. Bob was the beloved husband of Janet Marie Caplinger for 62 years; devoted father of Jill (Doug) Hede, Robert (Alisha) Caplinger, John Caplinger, Bonnie (Louie) Hollmeyer and Joy (John) Boland; cherished Grandpa to Andrea, Brian, Alyssa, Kyle, Emily, Owen, John David, Alexi, Lauren, Maxwell, Abigail and Gabriella. Bob is also survived by six great grandchildren. 

As a young man, Bob served in the United States Army. He later worked and retired from Zumbiel Packaging after 32 years of employment. He was extremely patient, hardworking and he loved his dog, Jack. He enjoyed cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Bob will be forever remembered as a family man.

Visitation will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home 7345 Hamilton Ave Cincinnati (Mt. Healthy), Ohio 45231 on Monday May 2, 2022 from 11:30AM until the time of the service at 1:00PM. Final Resting place will be at Crown Hill Memorial Park 11825 Pippin Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
