MARY LOUISE KNOBELOCH
MARCH 16, 1932 – MARCH 8, 2023
Fairfield - Mary L. Knobeloch was born on March 16, 1932 and passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023. She attended Monmouth College and worked as a secretary prior to marrying Don and starting a family. They were married on June 15, 1956 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster Groves, Missouri. Don’s work required the family to move to Arthur, Illinois before finally settling in Fairfield, Ohio.
Mary was very active in both her children’s and grandchildren’s lives as Cub Scout Leader, Brownie Leader, Assistant Girl Scout Leader, and classroom “Mom” for many years. Into her late 70’s, Mary and even Don, were known to volunteer at day care. Mary was very creative and talented with her crafts, seasonal decorations, and paintings. The cliché of never meeting a stranger fit Mary perfectly, as she was always making new friends while keeping her forever friends.
Mary is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Don (who passed away in November 2022). They were married for 66 years. She leaves behind her loving daughter Sandy Plenz, son Jeff (Tina) and grandchildren, Jacob Plenz, Ryan Knobeloch, and Heather Knobeloch. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and both of her brothers. Mary will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her throughout the years.
Memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 115 North 6th St., Hamilton, OH 45011 on March 25, 2023 @ 1 P.M.
