Margaret Keister Obituary

Margaret E. Keister, age 103, passed away June 11, 2020 at the Knolls of Oxford in Oxford, Ohio. She was born September 3, 1916 in Lincoln County, Kentucky to Robert and Lenora Kenney Cooper. Margaret graduated from Middletown Ohio High School in 1936. Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati in 1944 and a masters from New Mexico Highlands University in 1959.

Wilbur Keister, her husband of close to 67 years died, December 3, 2004. Margaret loved traveling, her years in teaching, and the ten years in real estate following her retirement from Talawanda School System where she was a Title I Reading Teacher and coordinator. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Oxford Senior Citizens, DAR, Miami University Art Museum and McCullough Hyde Hospital. She is survived by a son, Robert (Jill) Keister and a daughter, Lenora (Tom) Ulyshen; three grandchildren, Gretel Ulyshen, Michael (Tianyi), and Annie Ulyshen; three great grandchildren (triplets), Renee, Lauren, and Russell. Family services to be scheduled at a later date.
