Joyce Zillig

Joyce Zillig passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Ed Zillig for 60 years. Joyce is preceded in death by her father Hoy Debord and survived by her mother Madeline Debord (nee Bamberger) who is 106 years old. Loving mother to Karyn (Todd) Zillig-Taylor and David Zillig. Grandchildren Taryn Lewis, Zach (Brittney) Zillig, Lantz (Cassie) Lewis, Cierra Taylor, Autumn Zillig, Chad Zillig, and Trysta Taylor. Great grandmother to Levi Lewis, Zane Zillig, Wyatt Lewis, Zoey Zillig, and another great grandson expected soon. The precious friend of Judy Creech Zeek and many others who adored her.

Zillig Excavating & Paving Inc started in 1946. Since Joyce and Ed were married in 1962 she has played a huge part in its success through the years.

Joyce has enjoyed breeding and showing Boxers since 1975 with kennel Box O’Joy Boxers. She will be greatly missed by her Boxer Warner. She was a lifetime member of the Greater Cincinnati Boxer Club and the American Boxer Club.

Visitation will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home 7345 Hamilton Ave Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 on April 30, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
