Jonathan was born in Oxford, Ohio to Cathleen (nee Dobranski) and William Lodder on August 10, 1996. He was raised in Oxford. He grew up on the golf course driving carts, replacing divots and turning on sprinklers. Some of his mother’s cherished memories were watching him jump in puddles, sled ride and run through those sprinklers. He graduated from Talawanda High School where he met many lifelong friends. It is said that Jon never knew a stranger. He later attended Miami University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the MU Farmers School of Business. It was there that he met Meghan, the love of his life. He also forged deep friendships and will always be known for how much he cared for those most dear to him.
Jonathan enjoyed being outside, playing basketball and soccer, or hanging out indoors with his buddies playing video games. He had a YouTube Channel and enjoyed interacting with his subscribers from around the world. The times he spent with his dad hiking, cycling, and playing sports were deeply bonding. During this time Jonathan chose to go on a mission trip to Haiti. His eyes were opened to the hardships of people from an impoverished nation. He found this trip inspirational and said it changed how he wanted to live life. For Jonathan, the activities were fun but the relationships were what mattered most. He loved life, he lived for his friends, and he was deeply devoted to his family.
He was also known in his professional life for his ambition and work ethic. Jonathan was very accomplished for his young age, holding a position as a Senior Consultant for Ernst & Young and recently earning his CISA certification. Jonathan's professionalism was complemented by his warmth and personal concern for people. He set his goals high and he achieved them.
Jonathan is the cherished son of Cathleen (nee Dobranski) Lodder and William Lodder; loving grandson of Virginia & John Dobranski and Betty & John Lodder; and a dearly loved member to his large extended family. Jonathan is survived by the love of his life, Meghan Mauntler. He has always been the brightest star in his family and will forever remain as the twinkle in their eyes. He is the love of his parents' lives and will be deeply missed.
