John Richard Nieder

John Richard Nieder, age 83, of Cincinnati passed away peacefully on Monday June 15, 2020.  He was born on July 4, 1936 to the late Paul Alfred and Helen Marion (Smith) Nieder.   He was also a beloved stepson to the late Clara “Bobbie” Nieder.  He is survived by his children Kim (Jim) Adams and Eric (Leslie) Nieder.  Cherished grandfather of Tifanie (Mike) Haun, Nickolas (Eldina) Schmalenberger, and Angela Nieder; Great-Grandfather of Olivia and Gabriel Haun.  After graduating from Cleveland Heights High School, he worked as a salesman for Western Auto, Wick Lincoln Mercury, and then Warner Lambert where he was a District manager and later retired from Lazarus.  He was a 32nd degree Mason with Lyndhurst Lodge 508.  He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, darts and hockey.  He was an avid Bengals fan who held season tickets for over 20 years.  He also had a passion for cooking and eating gourmet meals with his best friend, Mike.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 12pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2pm at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, Ohio 45231. He will be laid to rest at Acacia Park Cemetery in Cleveland.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
