Frank Schneider June 17, 1945-July 27, 2022.
Frank Schneider, 77, of Mt. Healthy, went to be with Jesus on July 27, 2022. Frank was born June 17, 1945, to Frank and Ruby (nee Harmon) Schneider. After graduating from Colerain High School, he volunteered to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He married Mary (nee Scarff) Schneider in 1974, and they raised their blended family in Mt. Healthy, welcoming daughter Teri Lynn in 1975. Frank was a retired ironworker out of Local 372/44, where he helped build roller coasters at Kings Island.
Frank devoted his life to service, his family, and his Christian faith. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church and Fairfield First Baptist Church. Frank was the embodiment of the Bible verse Galatians 5:13, to “serve one another humbly in love.” He was a volunteer church bus driver, beloved Sunday school teacher, and quietly helped many friends in need. He spent countless hours volunteering at the New Life Mission in Hamilton.
Frank lovingly cared for his mother, Ruby, before her death in 2004. He was a devoted husband, proud father of four and grandfather of seven. He kept a meticulous schedule of his grandkids’ sports games, concerts, and plays; he never missed a family event. Frank and Mary enjoyed going on cruises, traveling to Alaska, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. He had an adventurous side and loved fishing, tubing, and ziplining. He enjoyed assembling and flying model airplanes. He loved celebrating Christmas with special traditions and gifts. Frank also doted on his cat, Midnight, and granddog, Chester.
Frank is survived by his wife of 48 years Mary, brother Robert (Gerry) Schneider and his daughters Kelly and Anna (Tyler); son Charles (Michelle) McClain, daughter Leigh Ann (Chris) Lutz, daughter Laura (Robert) Reed, and daughter Teri Lynn Schneider; and his grandchildren Ashley, Emily (Alex), Andrew, Christopher, Travis, Sarah and Brandon.
Frank is preceded in death by his father Frank, mother Ruby, and sister Beverly.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at Fairfield First Baptist Church, 1072 Hicks Blvd Fairfield, Ohio 45014 from 11:30AM-1:30PM. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:30PM.
