Fairfield - Elizabeth “Betty” Pelle Swank passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 18, 2020, at the age of 96.  Preceded in death by her husband, Don (7/03/80), brother Bob and great grandchild, McKenzie. Betty is survived by her son Don (Roxann) Swank, daughter Barbara Swank Vogt (Roger Metcalfe), grandson Clinton Vogt, extended grandsons Dave (Debbie), Doug, Dale (Cathy), and Dean (Missy) Vogt.  Additionally, 11 great grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins scattered throughout the country. Betty was a person who knew no strangers.  Her many friends were life-long and she made time for everyone.  Betty was a graduate of Miami University with a degree in education.  During the war (WWII) she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter.” She married her childhood sweetheart, Don, in Dec. 1945 and was married 35 years before Don passed.  She often referred to him as “Her Prince.” Betty was a devout Christian, loved our Lord Jesus Christ and lived her life according to his teachings.  Three churches were her faith communities.  During her childhood and until married, she belonged to Maineville UMC.  Later, attending Westwood UMC, and Lindenwald UMC where she was a devoted worker and friend of all. Betty was a loving wife and mother.  We were blessed to have had her with us for many years and she will be sorely missed and remembered by everyone who knew her. Betty donated her body to University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for research and to advance medical knowledge.  At her request, no memorial service has been scheduled.
