David Edward Matre

David Edward Matre, 60, beloved husband of Nancy (nee Paradies) and devoted father of Adam and Grace, went to rest on June 3rd, 2021 after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He is also survived by his two sisters, Anne Robertson (Tom) and Susan Dong (Dennis), several nieces and nephews, and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael. After graduating from Colerain High School in 1979, Dave attended 2 years at Ohio State University, and was a faithful employee of Clippard Instrument Laboratory for nearly 40 years. Dave was an avid cyclist and had a passion for music. As a man of deep faith, he served as an elder, praise team leader, and Sunday school teacher in his church, and greatly loved the Lord. He loved his family, and will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 11th from 3 PM until time of the Memorial Service at 5 PM at the Evangelical Community Church, 2191 Struble Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45231.
