David L. Lemle

We are heartbroken to announce the death of David L. Lemle of Mt. Healthy, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023 with his family by his side.

Dave was born in Toledo Ohio. His family moved to the Cincinnati area where he grew up and then graduated from Greenhills High School. He enjoyed his time tinkering with hot rods, riding motorcycles, fishing and camping, and hanging out with his brothers, family and friends.

Dave worked as a truck driver for years and then became the owner/proprietor of "The Meeting Place" bar and restaurant in Mt. Healthy. He and his wife, Nancy, later decided to move to the country where he became a Clermont County Deputy Sheriff and the K-9 handler there. They finally came back to Mt. Healthy to be closer to family. He was passionate about working tirelessly to design and build his life size scary creatures and action scenes for his backyard haunt on Halloween. He loved watching kids (and adults) scream and squeal as they braved the path through his yard. Neighbors could hardly wait every year to see it and him, drink some coffee or cider, trick or treat and share their scares past and present.

Preceded in death by his Father Lawrence O. Lemle, Mother Gloria F. Kruczckowski Lemle, Wife Nancy C. "Peaches" and stepdaughter Linda York.

He leaves behind his stepdaughter Margie (Jim) Couch, brothers; Bill Lemle (Vikki Grimm), Paul Lemle (Sally Hamilton), Ed Lemle (Anita), Roger Lemle (Karen), Robert Lemle as well as many other family, friends and neighbors who will all miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 10 am - 12pm at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. Graveside service to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens
