Paula M. Doan

Paula M. Doan, age 63, of Oxford, Ohio passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.  She was born on March 4, 1956 in England, the daughter of Mary (Arthur) and Leo Erik. Paula was a registered nurse as well as a surgical nurse and spent many years working at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital. She was a life long learner, earning her Master’s degree in nursing.  Her most recent educational endeavor was taking courses in archeology. Paula loved to dance and did Irish Folk dancing, but her true love was belly dancing with a group of friends in Cincinnati. Paula was preceded in death by her husband David and her parents.  She is survived by her in-laws; Jan and Rob Doan, Steve Doan, nieces and nephews and friends. Paula is also survived by her dearly loved dogs. A visitation will be held starting at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am on Friday, May 31, 2019 at St. Mary Church, Oxford, Ohio. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Oxford. Ogle and Paul R. Young Funeral Home assisting the family.
