Lena “Lynn” Faye (Johnson) Kadle – Simpson, Age 83 passed away early Sunday morning, November 4, 2018 at The Knolls of Oxford. She was born on November 1, 1935 in London, KY, the daughter of Isaac and Mollie (Roark) Johnson. She married Homer Ray Kadle in June of 1951 and was married for almost 55 years when he passed away. Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and very active in her church. She loved to spend time with family and friends, be involved at her church, sing, go to yard sales, and travel; even if it was just getting in the car and driving through the country. Lynn had never flown in a commercial airline until the passing of Homer in 2007. After which, and with a lot of coaxing, she took her first trip to visit two of her sons who live out west. From then on she was always ready to fly and wanted to travel more. After the passing of Homer, Lynn began spending time with Charles Simpson (widower) who she married in 2010. The couple have lived in the Oxford home and spent the last 8 years together. Lynn is survived by her husband, Charles Simpson; her sons Walter R. (Anita) Kadle of Morristown, AZ and Brian Kadle of Albuquerque, NM; her uncle, James Roark; her brother Jerry (Jackie) Johnson; her brothers in law Bill McClanahan and Merle (Patty) Kadle; sisters in law June Cross and Margaret Smith, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who she loved dearly. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer Kadle, her second born son, Michael Lee Kadle, and her sister Beverly McClanahan. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday November 9, 2018 at the Oxford Baptist Church, 4111 Oxford Trenton Rd, Oxford. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 8, 2018 from 3:00 to 4:00pm for family and from 4:00pm to 7:00pm for friends and family. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park after the services on Friday.
