Dear daughter of the late Walter and Bessie Grafft. Beloved wife of the late William Apfeld. Jane is survived by her sons Jon of Melbourne, Florida and Scott (Michelle) of Oxford; grandchildren Jessica (Jim Barber) Apfeld of Oxford, Robin (Mike) O’Neill of Hamilton, Carrie (Dave Boettjer) Apfeld in Monroe, Josie Creech of Somerville; and great-grandmother of Georgia Apfeld, Scott O’Neill, Rebecca Barber, Gabriel Barber, Emily Boettjer, Neleh Harley, Amya Gibbs, Christopher Boettjer and Amy Boettjer. Jane was a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in Somerville, Ohio from 1962 until her retirement in 1986. She was previously employed by Somerville Elementary School and the United States Army during World War II. Jane passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the age of 96. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Ogle and Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, Ohio from 11AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12PM. Interment to follow at Miltonville Cemetery in Trenton, Ohio.
