Doyne Roth Unger

Doyne Roth Unger, 89, of Cincinnati, OH, was born on May 29, 1929, in Middlefork, IN, to Dallas and Dora (Roth) Unger and passed this life to be with his Lord on April 30, 2019, at home, in the presence of his loving wife of 65 years, Judith C. (Bowen) Unger.

The day after graduating high school, Doyne went to work for Delco Electronics, where he remained an employee for forty-eight years until his retirement in 1995. He was a faithful member of Zion Tabernacle in Kokomo, IN, for twenty-five years, and of The Calvary Church in Cincinnati, OH, since 1996. All who knew him will remember a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, and a friend to all. He possessed a warm kindness, a quiet gentleness, a quick wit, and a secure strength.

He suffered the loss his parents, Dallas and Dora (Roth) Unger; his sister, Genevieve Welsh; and an infant son, Thomas Roth Unger.

He is survived by his wife, Judith C. Unger; his son, Randy (Kay) Unger, Kokomo, IN; his daughter, LouAnne (Melvin) Kuntzman, Chandler, IN; his son, Timothy (Karla) Unger, Fort Worth, TX; his daughter, Lynn Unger, Cincinnati, OH; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 1:00 PM, at The Calvary Church, 11970 Kenn Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45240, with Pastor Tom Ellis and Pastor Joel Urshan officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday. There will be a private interment on Monday, May 6, 2019.

The family wish to publicly recognize and thank Lynn Unger for the loving care and service she gave her father.
