Daniel B. Osterbrock

DANIEL B. OSTERBROCK – Beloved husband of Ruth A. (Schmidt) Osterbrock for 46 years.  Devoted, adoring, and loving father of Lisa C. Osterbrock.  Cherished brother of William R. Osterbrock, (Shelly Krulac); Timothy G. Osterbrock, (Maria Mollberg); Thomas L. (Betty) Osterbrock.   Fond and loving uncle to a multitude of Osterbrock and Schmidt nieces and nephews.

Dan passed away on Friday evening, December 7, 2018, with Ruth and Lisa at his side after a long battle with bile duct cancer.  His strength and courage allowed him to “fight the good fight” throughout his illness until his last hours when the disease finally overcame him.

Dan was a proud husband, father, and friend who loved spending time with his family, extended family, and friends.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He cherished his hunting/fishing home in Cross Plains IN, his family summer home on Gun Lake MI, and annual Canadian fishing trips.  He worked in the automotive and commercial refinishing industries for many years, where his fond co-workers and friends proclaimed him “the best boss I ever had”.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 9:30 – 11:30 AM; followed by a funeral service at 11:30 at Paul R. Young Funeral Home (Mt. Healthy), 7345 Hamilton Ave, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231.   Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
